DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: London to Cape Town
Fly overnight from the UK to Cape Town.
Day 2: Cape Town
On arrival into Cape Town you will be transferred into the city where you will spend your first 3 nights at The Three, this beautiful National Monument building has been converted into a stylish, small boutique hotel in the leafy suburb of Oranjezicht, at the heart of Cape Town.
Days 3 to 5: Cape Town
Three full days to explore this vibrant city. Why not head to the Table Mountain cable car, visit the botanical gardens, visit Camps Bay, take a tour to Cape Point or the Cape of Good Hope, possibly going as far as Boulder’s Beach to see the penguins! Day 6: Cape Town to the Whale Coast
This morning you will be transferred to the Whale Coast where you will spend 2 nights at Auberge Provence, situated on the famous cliffs of Hermanus. The picturesque mountains beyond gently embrace the phenomenal, all-encompassing vista of the bay.
Day 7: Whale Coast
A full day to enjoy Hermanus and spot whales! There’s also plenty of hiking trails, boat trips and even cage diving available for you to do. We love Hermanus even outside of whale season. Have a chat to one of our South Africa specialists to find out why.
Day 8: Whale Coast to Cape Winelands
Today you will be transferred to the village of Franschhoek to spend 3 nights at Auberge Clermont, an owner run gem, this beautiful guest house is on a working wine and fruit farm in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley surrounded by magnificent mountains and only a few minutes from the centre of the quaint village. Days 9&10: The Winelands
Two full days to enjoy the amazing food and wine of the winelands! The village of Franschhoek is all about the delicious food and wine with numerous award-winning restaurants and wine estates on your doorstep.We can also help you arrange some excursions – vineyard picnics and bespoke Wineland tours or take the tram on a wine tasting tour around the valley.
Day 11: Winelands to the Kruger
Heading back to Cape Town airport this morning, you will catch a flight to Kruger Airport. On arrival you will be transferred to the Kruger where you will spend 4 nights at the luxurious Chitwa Chitwa ending your holiday in style. This boutique safari lodge has a spectacular setting on one of the largest lakes in the reserve, which attracts large numbers of animals, making for some really special sightings and one of the most exclusive safari experiences in the area.
Days 12 to 14: Kruger
Three full days of exciting Big 5 Kruger safari. Head out on game drives for some serious animal encounters and amazing sightings of Africa’s big animals!
Day 15: The Kruger to the UK
Following a final morning game drive, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport, drop off your hire car and catch a flight to the UK
Day 16: Home

The selection of accommodation was exactly what we would have chosen from colonial Elephant house to coastal Lavender Manor. The fab boutique hotel in Cape Town was a great location for New Year celebrations and the trip to Franschoek and the winelands fabulous, not just the wine hic hic but the journey there and the spectacular scenery on the drive over.

From the minute we checked in at the Emirates desk to the minute we landed back in the UK, everything was perfect. Our accommodation was WOW, our transfer drivers and trips were WOW. I don’t want to share where we stayed because they were so special and if we want to go back, I don’t want to find them unavailable!!!

We just wanted to say thank you for organising such a wonderful holiday for us. We had such an amazing 10 days and everything went just as planned. We would highly recommend James to our friends and the order that we visited each place was perfect. We were lucky in Cape Town as one of the days was warm and sunny so we were able to get up to Table Mountain before we left for Hermanus. We also braved great white shark cage diving and saw plenty of whales on our lovely walk along the Hermanus coastal path.
