incredible 13 night island hopping adventure is a beach lover’s dream as you move around the stunning archipelagos of northern Madagascar, combining the islands of Nosy Be, Nosy Komba (Lemur Island) and the stunning paradise island of Tsarabanjina in the remote Mitsio Archipelago, staying in three of the finest beach properties in Madagascar.
Day 1: London to Antananarivo
Fly this morning from the UK to Antananarivo (via Paris). On arrival into the Madagascar capital this evening you will be met and transferred in the city to spend 1 night at Lokanga Boutique Hotel, a charming 6 room town house close to the Queens Palace with amazing views across the city and very friendly service.
Day 2: Antananarivo to the Nosy Be Archipelago
Following breakfast on the terrace overlooking Antananarivo you will transfer back to the airport for your flight to the Nosy Be Archipelago.
Arriving into the main island of Nosy Be you will met and transferred to a remote spot on the east coast to spend your first 4 nights at Manga Soa, a lovely French owned beach lodge with 7 stylish suites overlooking the ocean and lovely private beach below. Want to add-in a visit to Amber Mountain National Park for a couple of days? We will design a Madagascar holiday to suit you – call 01273 923100.
Days 3 to 5: Nosy Be
Three full days to relax and explore the island of Nosy Be. At the lodge you arrange hikes, snorkelling and other water-sports, plus we can arrange lots of activities in the area including horse-riding, quad biking and island hopping tours.
No trip to Madagascar is complete without some wildlife so we highly recommend an excursion to the nearby primary forest Reserve de Lokobe which is home to some wonderful wildlife including the rare black Macaco lemur, gray-backed sportive lemur, Madagascar long-eared owl and the spectacular panther chameleon.
Day 6: Nosy Be to Nosy Komba
This morning you will transfer to the port of Hellville (not as bad as it sounds!) to pick up your boat transfer 30mins to the neighbouring island of Nosy Komba (Lemur Island) where you will continue your island adventure with 3 nights at Tsara Komba Lodge. Another French owned gem this small eco beach lodge is super stylish, very relaxed and it offers some of the best cuisine in Madagascar. Remember, this is just a starting point idea to give you a flavour of what we can do. All our holidays are uniquely designed for each individual client. Contact us on 01273 923100 or holidays@sundownerholidays.co.uk to start designing yours.
Days 7 & 8: Nosy Komba
Two full days to relax and explore Nosy Komba. Nosy Komba is a beautiful volcanic island covered in forest (with no roads) and it is resident to the black Macaco lemurs so we recommend a hike on the island and if you want to get up close and personal there are some semi-habituated lemurs at the Ampangorina Reserve.
Day 9: Nosy Komba to Tsarabanjina Island
Today you will head by boat 90mins north to the stunning Mitsio Archipelago to end your beach adventure with 4 nights at the stunning Tsarabanjina Island, a barefoot chic private island with fine white coral sand and the clearest turquoise ocean.
We love the remoteness, beauty, focus on the environment, exceptional diving and its incredibly laid back atmosphere – the viewpoint for sundowners is pretty special as well! “20% Early Booking Discount” Special
Days 10 to 12: Tsarabanjina Island
Three days in Paradise. You may want to simply move backwards and forwards between your hammock and the ocean but this archipelago offers some of the best diving in the Indian Ocean and your stay includes snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, guided island hikes and a game of beach volleyball every day at 18h00.
Day 13: Tsarabanjina Island to the UK
It’s nearly time to ditch the flip-flops as with a heavy heart you will transfer by boat back to Hellville and then onto Nosy Be airport for your flight back to Antananarivo. On arrival a day room at Bois Vert will be available (if required) before you will connect with your International flight back to the UK (via Paris).
Day 14: Home
Welcome Home…..(it may take a while to re-adjust!!)
This Madagascar holiday idea costs from £4,497pp and includes international flights (price based on London), all internal flights, all accommodation on a sharing basis, 1 night B&B in the capital, 4 nights half-board on Nosy, 3 nights full-board on Nosy Komba, 4 nights all-inclusive (selected activities) at Tsarabanjina and all transfers.
