DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: UK to Colombo
Fly overnight from the UK to Colombo.

Day 2: Negombo
On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred in your private vehicle a short distance towards Negombo where you will spend 1 night at the Wallawwa, a stunning boutique retreat which is a fantastic start to any Sri Lanka holiday with its beautiful grounds, relaxed atmosphere, lovely little spa and excellent Asian-fusion cuisine. Welcome to Sri Lanka!

Day 3: Negombo to Cultural Triangle
Today your adventure really starts as you head into the Cultural Triangle region of the country. You’ll head to the incredible Dambulla Cave Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest temple cave complex in Sri Lanka. After a fantastic day, you will go on to Water Garden Sigiriya to spend 2 nights. Luxury meets nature at this beautiful hotel, as you are surrounded by lakes and a stunning view of the Rock Fortress. 

Day 4: Cultural Triangle
This morning you will be collected by your guide and driven to the iconic Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. Definitely a great opportunity to burn off that lovely breakfast at Arika you will enjoy a guided tour of this fascinating UNESCO complex and a hike to the top to enjoy the stunning scenery. Our guides are extremely knowledgeable. You will then return to Water Garden Sigiriya for a well-earned relax by the pool.

Day 5: Cultural Triangle to Kandy
This morning you will be driven south to the scenic city of Kandy, heading to the UNESCO Temple of the Tooth and Royal Palace where you will enjoy a guided tour and walk by Kandy Lake. You will then drive into the hills to spend 2 nights at Ellerton Bungalow – this stunning retreat is set in the beautiful hills and retains the character and tranquility of when it was built more than 100 years ago. Spend the rest of your afternoon relaxing by the pool! 

Day 6: Kandy 
Full day to enjoy Ellerton Bungalow and its beautiful surroundings. This stunning area is fantastic for hiking, or bicycles from the hotel are free of charge to use, so you could explore the surrounding area on two wheels. Head back into Kandy to explore more of its charm, or simply grab your book and head for the pool. 

Day 7: Kandy to Galle Fort
A long but beautiful drive today will take you to the stunning southwest coast where you will spend 1 night staying within the walls of the UNESCO Galle Fort at Fort Printers. Nestled in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Galle Fort, The Fort Printers offers understated elegance and is perfectly located so you can go out exploring.

Day 8:  Galle Fort to Thalpe Beach
This morning you will be collected on foot by your guide for morning walk tour of Galle Tour.

You will then be transferred 15 minutes south to Thalpe Beach where you will end your honeymoon with 5 nights at the Frangipani Tree, a cool contemporary boutique hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful suites and a fantastic pool with stunning ocean views.

Days 9 to 12: Thalpe Beach
Four full days to relax and explore the beaches of Galle. We can arrange a selection of activities including scuba diving, whale watching (in season) and surf lessons.

Day 13: Colombo to UK
Following a final breakfast by the beach you will be transferred north to Colombo Airport for your flight back to the UK.
