DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: UK to Maputo
Fly overnight from the UK to Maputo (via Doha).
Day 2: Maputo
On arrival into Maputo you will be met and transferred into the city to spend 2 nights at the Southern Sun Maputo, a lovely beachfront hotel with great sea views and perfect location for exploring Maputo. After to relax explore Maputo under your own arrangements
Day 3: Maputo
This morning you will be collected for a guided walking tour of Mafalala, one of the oldest, most emblematic and historical neighbourhood of Maputo City. This afternoon you will be free to explore at your own leisure.
Day 4: Maputo to Machangulo
This morning you will be collected and transferred to the marina for your 1hr boat transfer to Machangulo Beach Lodge where you will spend 4 nights. Located on a remote peninsula with amazing ocean views this 17 room beach retreat offers the perfect mix of relaxation and beach activities.
Days 5 to 7: Machangulo Peninsula
Three full days to relax and enjoy. Activities at Machangulo include scuba diving, snorkelling, trips to Inhaca Island, birding walks, beach picnics, kayaking and fishing.
Day 8: Machangulo to Tofo (via Maputo)
This morning you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight north to Inhambane. On arrival you will be met and transferred 20mins to the laid back seaside town of Tofo where you will end with 5 nights of total relaxation at Baia Sonambula.

Days 9 to 12: Tofo Beach
Four full days to enjoy this stunning part of the Mozambique coastline. With great reefs and excellent large marine life this region is one of the best diving & snorkelling spots in the world – manta rays, reef sharks and in season humpback whales and whale sharks.
Day 13: Tofo to the UK (via Johannesburg)
After a final morning on Tofo Beach you will be transferred back to the airport for your short flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you will connect with your International flight back to UK.

The fab boutique hotel in Cape Town was a great location for New Year celebrations and the trip to Franschoek and the winelands fabulous, not just the wine hic hic but the journey there and the spectacular scenery on the drive over.

From the minute we checked in at the Emirates desk to the minute we landed back in the UK, everything was perfect. Our accommodation was WOW, our transfer drivers and trips were WOW. I don’t want to share where we stayed because they were so special and if we want to go back, I don’t want to find them unavailable!!!

We can honestly say it was the best holiday we have ever had. The small boutique guest houses were all amazing and certainly gave us a real flavour of the country. We drove to Cape Town where our lovely hotel was a perfect base to explore this beautiful place and beaches along with all the sights.

We loved the safari in Zambia. Such brilliant, friendly guides. The diving at Thonga was another favourite because of the colours and variety of sea life. All in all, it was a great fun, exciting, informative and relaxing holiday.

We just wanted to say thank you for organising such a wonderful holiday for us. We had such an amazing 10 days and everything went just as planned. We would highly recommend James to our friends and the order that we visited each place was perfect. We were lucky in Cape Town as one of the days was warm and sunny so we were able to get up to Table Mountain before we left for Hermanus. We also braved great white shark cage diving and saw plenty of whales on our lovely walk along the Hermanus coastal path.

The honeymoon was fantastic. The best experience. Everything went to plan no problems. The Cape Town car hire was a fantastic recommendation that meant we got to go everywhere.
