perfect recipe for an African Honeymoon this 13 night adventure starts with a Big 5 safari in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, one of the best game viewing regions in Southern Africa, then heads to the vibrant coastal city of Maputo to soak up the bustling markets and ends with some serious R&R at a remote beach hideaway on the Indian Ocean coast.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: London to Johannesburg
Fly overnight from the UK to Johannesburg.
Day 2: Johannesburg to the Kruger
On arrival you will connect with a short flight to KMIA Kruger where you will met and transferred 2hrs by private vehicle into the southern Sabi Sands region of the Kruger. You will start your honeymoon with 3 nights at Nottens Bush Camp, a romantic safari hideaway in the bush offering first class game viewing and a romantic safari atmosphere.
Days 3 & 4: Safari in the Kruger
Two full days of Big 5 safari in the Sabi Sands region of the Kruger. Head out on game drives and bush walks for some serious animal encounters and amazing sightings of the mighty lion.
Day 5: Kruger to Mozambique
Following a morning game drive and breakfast you will be collected and transferred by private vehicle 5hrs over the border into Mozambique, heading to the capital Maputo where you will spend 1 night at the Southern Sun Maputo. A great location for exploring Maputo, the hotel has a lovely beachfront location.
Day 6: Maputo to Machangulo, Indian Ocean Coast
After a morning exploring Maputo you will be collected and transferred to the marina for your 1hr boat transfer to Machangulo Beach Lodge where you will end your honeymoon with 7 nights of relaxation on the stunning Indian Ocean Coast.
Located on a remote peninsula with amazing ocean views this 17 room beach retreat offers the perfect mix of relaxation and beach activities.
Days 7 to 12: Beachside, Indian Ocean

From the minute we checked in at the Emirates desk to the minute we landed back in the UK, everything was perfect. Our accommodation was WOW, our transfer drivers and trips were WOW. We loved the safari in Zambia. Such brilliant, friendly guides. The diving at Thonga was another favourite because of the colours and variety of sea life. All in all, it was a great fun, exciting, informative and relaxing holiday.

We just wanted to say thank you for organising such a wonderful holiday for us. We had such an amazing 10 days and everything went just as planned. We would highly recommend James to our friends and the order that we visited each place was perfect. We were lucky in Cape Town as one of the days was warm and sunny so we were able to get up to Table Mountain before we left for Hermanus. We also braved great white shark cage diving and saw plenty of whales on our lovely walk along the Hermanus coastal path.
