Day 1: UK to Singapore
Fly from the UK to Singapore.
Day 2: Singapore
On arrival in to Singapore, you will be met and transferred approx. 20 mins to spend 4 nights at the Oasia Downtown Hotel. The distinctive building of the Oasia with its vertical gardens is located in the perfect spot to explore this bustling city. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool after your long journey. Welcome to Singapore!
Days 3-5: Singapore
You have three full days to explore this exciting city. There is lots to do to keep you entertained – visit Chinatown and Little India for great food and shopping. Or head to the famous Gardens by the Bay – head over in the afternoon and stay for a few hours so that you can watch the light show after the sun has set! Keen to get to Laos? Day 6: Singapore to Luang Prabang (via Bangkok)
This morning you will be collected and transferred back to Singapore airport for your flight to Bangkok. On arrival, you will proceed to check in for your onward flight to Luang Prabang. After you arrive, you will be met by your guide and transferred approx. 15 minutes to Maison Dalabua – a charming boutique property that is surrounded by three UNESCO classified lily ponds where you will spend the next 4 nights. Enjoy the rest of your day relaxing by the pool! Welcome to Laos!
Days 7-8: Luang Prabang
You will be collected one day to enjoy a Half Day Guided Luang Prabang tour! Get to the heart of this charming city, as you start with a visit to the former Royal Palace, which is now the National Museum. Then, take a short walk to Wat Mai, before you continue on to Wat Sensoukarahm and then Wat Xieng Thong. If this is too many temples, you can skip one or two and visit the Loas Visitor Centre instead – learn all about the unexploded mines that were left behind by American forces after the Vietnam War. You will also enjoy a Kuang Si Waterfalls Full Day Tour. Head out of the city and journey through Luang Prabang’s beautiful countryside as you make your way to the stunning pools. Enjoy a swim before a special picnic lunch will be prepared so you can enjoy local dishes with a spectacular view!
Day 9: Luang Prabang
Your last day in Luang Prabang is at leisure – head into town to wander the pretty streets on foot, hire a bike to explore on two wheels, or enjoy a walk along the river. There are also other activities available to book through the hotel – go on a cooking class to learn how to make some traditional Lao meals, visit a rice farm to learn about the growing, harvesting and cooking of sticky rice, or join a private sunset cruise along the Mekong.
Day 10: Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng
You will be collected today for a private transfer to Vang Vieng. Break up the 5hr journey with a stop in Kasi, a famous fruit growing region, and you can request other stops along the way. In Vang Vieng, you will spend 2 nights at the Riverside Boutique Resort. This award winning, luxury hotel, is full of charm and beautiful design. Settle in this afternoon – your room will have a balcony which is the perfect place to sit and relax! Don’t fancy the long drive? Talk to us about taking the train instead!
Day 11: Vang Vieng
Today you will go on a Full Day tour to see the highlights of this interesting town. Start with Tam Pou Kham – explore the cavern and look out for rock formations – before you head to the blue lagoon for a refreshing swim. Visit Tham Chang cave, home to incredible stalactites inside the cave and impressive views outside before you head back towards your hotel along the Nam Song River in a local longtail boat.
Day 12: Vang Vieng to Vientiane
Enjoy a leisurely morning before you are collected and transferred approx. 1 1/2 hrs to the Laos Capital, where you will spend 2 nights at the Salana Boutique Hotel. This charismatic, boutique hotel is in the centre of the city, making the city sights only a short walk away. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, or head out to explore.
Day 13: Vientiane
You will have a full day at leisure to enjoy the capital. Head to Buddha Park for a peaceful walk amongst over 200 statues, visit some of the temples and in the evening, head to the night market on the river front for some shopping and street food.
Day 14: Vientiane to Hanoi
This morning you will be collected and transferred approx. 10 mins to Vientiane airport to check in for your flight to Hanoi. On arrival, you will be met and transferred approx. 45 minutes to the Bespoke Trendy Hotel Hanoi where you will stay for the next 2 nights. Located on a small, charming street, this hotel takes the edgy feel of the city and combines it with the traditional side of Hanoi. Venture out and explore once you have checked in, or relax in your hotel. Welcome to Vietnam!
Day 15: Hanoi
You will explore the city today on a Private Half Day City tour. Start at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, before you move on to the One Pillar Pagoda. Continue on to the famous mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, before ending with a stroll around West Lake. You could then head out in the evening to try some delicious street food!
Day 16: Hanoi to Ninh Binh
This morning you will be transferred approx. 2 hrs to the stunning region of Ninh Binh. The dramatic scenery makes it one of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam – you will head to Emeralda Ninh Binh Resort where you will stay for the next 3 nights. The wonderful Emeralda offers a lovely swimming pool with fantastic views of the surrounding area! Settle in this afternoon and relax by the pool! Want to up the luxury during the trip? Days 17 & 18: Ninh Binh
During your time in Ninh Binh, you will get to go on a Van Long Nature Reserve Boat Trip – Van Long is the largest wetland nature reserve in North Vietnam and is home to plenty of wildlife. The rest of your time will be at your leisure. If you want to explore more of the local area, then there are excursions available to arrange through your hotel, or simply relax by the pool to enjoy those stunning views!
Day 19: Ninh Binh to Mai Chau
This morning you will be met by your driver and transferred approx. 3 hrs to the region of Mai Chau, where you will stay at Mai Chau Ecolodge for 2 nights. The Lodge sits in a beautiful rice field, providing guests with views of the stunning scenery – sit by the pool and soak up the views this afternoon. Want to pick up the pace? Talk to us about taking out Mai Chau and heading straight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 20: Mai Chau
Today is yours to spend at leisure – you could hire bicycles from the hotel, or there are varied guided walks around the local area. Or simply lounge by the pool!
Day 21: Mai Chau to Ho Chi Minh City
After enjoying breakfast this morning, you will be collected and transferred approx 3 1/2 hrs to Hanoi airport where you will catch your short domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, you will be met and driven approx. 20 mins to Silverland Yen where you will spend the night. The Silverland is located a short walking distance from many sites, so you could head out after you’ve checked in to explore. Want some more time in Ho Chi Minh? Day 22: Ho Chi Minh City to The Mekong Delta
This morning you will be met by your driver and transferred approx. 2 hrs to My Tho, where you will be staying for 2 nights at The Island Lodge. Nestled at the top of a fruit-laden island, this is a laid back and beautiful lodge.
Day 23: The Mekong Delta
Enjoy a day exploring the Mekong Delta under your own steam. Bikes are available to hire through the hotel, head out on a walk, or visit the village of Thoi Son. Or take a small ferry to visit the Ben Tre province, famous for its coconut plantations.
Day 24: The Mekong Delta
You will be collected by your driver this morning and transferred to board the Bassac Boat, where you will stay for your 1-night Mekong River Cruise. Rest on the deck as the boat cruises down the river and watch river life as you go past – what a beautiful way to travel!
Day 25: The Mekong to Phu Quoc
For the early bird, rise to watch the sunrise and see local fisherman starting their day. You will cruise on to Cai Rang, where you will visit the floating market before you meet with your driver who will take you to the airport so that you can catch your short flight to Phu Quoc. On arrival in Phu Quoc, you will catch the resort shuttle bus to spend 5 nights at Cassia Cottage. This quant property is set in a palm fringed paradise, and has become one of the best places to stay in Phu Quoc.
Days 26-29: Phu Quoc
Four full days in paradise! Phu Quoc is renowned for its white sand beaches, National Park, dense tropical jungle, and wildlife. Relax on the stunning beach, or grab a snorkel and explore the reefs nearby. You could also go on a boat trip to visit Hon Roi and Hon Thom Island, or arrange a trip to the outstanding Phu Quoc National Park, or the honey bee farm.
Day 30: Phu Quoc to the UK
Today you will transfer back to Phu Quoc airport for your onward flights to the UK.
