Day 1: UK to Delhi
Fly overnight from the UK to Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred in your private vehicle into the New Delhi where you will spend 2 nights at Colonel’s Retreat which offers a peaceful introduction to India, friendly staff and a private rooftop dining area with a gorgeous view of the city.
Days 3: Delhi
This morning you will be collected by your driver and a specialist Delhi guide for your private tour of New and Old Delhi, including the Jama Masjid (one of the largest mosques in India), a rickshaw ride through the bustling markets of Chandni Chowk and the impressive Humayun’s Tomb.
Day 4: Delhi to Agra
Bidding farewell to the capital you will be driven south to Agra to spend 1 night at Coral Tree, a friendly owner run guesthouse with lovely hosts and a great location only a few minutes from the Taj. This afternoon with your driver and a local specialist Agra guide you will visit Agra Fort, a 16th century Mughal fortress with stunning views across the Yamuna River to the Taj Mahal. You will then head into one of the most iconic monuments in the world, the Taj Mahal, to enjoy sunset. Want to meet sloth bear? A short drive from Agra is the Wildlife SoS Bear Sanctuary. Day 5: Agra to Jaipur
Today you will drive to the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri before continuing to Jaipur, the Pink City and capital of Rajasthan. You will spend 2 nights at the charming Khandela Haveli, a fantastic value heritage property with bags of character, attentive staff and small rooftop pool.
Day 6: Jaipur
This morning you will be collected by your driver and a specialist Jaipur guide for your private tour of Jaipur, including the City Palace, the fascinating observatory Jantar Mantar, the Hawa Mahal and one of the finest forts in Rajasthan, Amber Fort. There are plenty of wonderful sights in Jaipur. Talk to us about the different options.
Day 7: Jaipur to Bijaynagar
Heading south into the heartlands of Rajasthan, you will leave behind the bustling cities to spend 2 nights at the Bijay Niwas Palace, a grand farmhouse owner run by Dushyant Singh, a descendant of the Masuda royal family, offering a fascinating insight into rural Rajasthan.
Day 8: Bijaynagar
Full day to enjoy this beautiful heritage property and working farm. Activities include a guided hike or bike tour of the local villages, nature walks, farm tours and a visit to the local temples.
Days 9: Bijaynagar to Udaipur
Continuing south today to the beautiful lake city of Udaipur you will end your adventure with 2 nights at the Jaiwana Haveli, another owner run gem this small heritage hotel sits right on the banks of Lake Pichola with wonderful panoramic views of the city and Aravali Hills – make sure you head to the rooftop for Sundowners!
Day 10: Udaipur
This morning you will be collected by your driver and a specialist Udaipur guide for your private tour of Udaipur, including the City Palace, beautiful gardens of Saheliyon-ki-Bari and the Jagdish Temple. You will also have time this afternoon to explore the fascinating winding streets of the old town.
Day 11: Udaipur to UK
Have one last morning overlooking the lakes and this afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your short flight back to Delhi. On arrival you will connect with your onward flight to the UK.
