Day 1: UK to Phnom Penh
Fly overnight from the UK to Phnom Penh.
Day 2: Phnom Penh
On arrival, you will be transferred to iRoha Garden Hotel where you will be staying for 3 nights. A beautiful hideaway in Phnom Penh offering the comforts of a boutique hotel and services of a guest house, it has everything needed to ensure a relaxing stay in Phnom Penh. Welcome to Cambodia! If you’d like to get out exploring straight away, speak to one of our specialists and discuss what you might like to do on your first day.
Day 3: Phnom Penh
Today you will have a private guided tour of the sobering Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Housed in a former school, it was taken over by the Khmer Rouge and used as a torture centre named ‘S-21’. You will then visit the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. A moving, but important visit that allows you to understand Cambodia better. Later, you will board a boat for a sunset river cruise, and as the sun disappears for the day you will see the riverfront awaken and come to life.
Day 4: Phnom Penh
You have this morning and afternoon free to do as you wish. In the evening, you’ll be collected for your Street Food Tour of Phnom Penh and taken to the local market. You’ll experience local small delights before ordering a full Cambodian dinner – maybe num pang (French-style baguettes) or nom banh chok (Khmer noodles).
Day 5: Phnom Penh to Koh Rong
After your fascinating first few days experiencing the history and culture of Cambodia’s capital, it’s time to hit the beach. You’ll be collected by your driver and transferred 4 hours to Sihanoukville port to jump on a boat over to the idyllic island of Koh Rong. You’ll be spending 3 nights at Tamu Koh Rong. Nestled in a coconut grove and the jungle, Tamu Koh Rong offers private barefoot chic tented rooms featuring all the modern comforts. The swimming pool and restaurant facing the pristine beach side are all you need to live the island experience in a stylish way!
Days 6 & 7: Koh Rong
Two full days at leisure to enjoy the beaches of Koh Rong. Grab your snorkel and head out to find some colourful fish, take a walk around the light jungle, or simply lie by the pool – complete freedom.
Day 8: Koh Rong to Siem Reap
Today is the day you bid farewell to island life and transfer back to Sihanoukville for your flight to Siem Reap. On arrival in to Siem Reap you will be staying for four nights at The Aviary Hotel – nestled in the heart of Siem Reap with a rooftop pool to die for, The Aviary Hotel offers a harmonious blend of modern luxury and Khmer hospitality. You’ll have the rest of your evening at leisure. Not long enough on the beach? Call us on 01273 923100 to work out how to make this holiday perfect for you.
Day 9: Siem Reap
Today you will be collected for your full-day tour of Siem Reap and the Angkor Wat Temple Complex. You’ll start by heading to the fascinating ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire. You’ll visit the Bayon Temple and the wonderfully overgrown Ta Prohm, also known as ‘Tomb Raider Temple’. In the late afternoon, you will head for the highlight: the magnificent Angkor Wat. You will then watch the sun set over this iconic national monument, watch the monks go about their evening rituals and witness the surroundings shine in the most beautiful light – a perfect Sundowner moment. You’ll return to your hotel for a well-earned evening to yourself.
Day 10: Siem Reap
A morning and afternoon at leisure to relax or explore as you wish. This evening you will be collected for your Evening Vespa Street Food Tour. Wiz through the night on the back of a Vespa, tasting a seemingly endless variety of unusual foods that offer a spectacular diversity of flavours and colours as you go… some not for the fainthearted! Choose to end the night in the centre of Siem Reap or back at your hotel – your choice! If you think you might prefer a walking street food tour of Siem Reap, then contact us on 01273 923100.
Day 11: Siem Reap
A full morning and afternoon to spend as you wish before being collected for a night at Phare, The Cambodian Circus. Enjoy dinner at the Phare Restaurant before the cast of the circus put on an inspirational hour-long show which is sure to delight all spectators. Later in the evening meet the cast of the circus and learn about how being in the production has changed their lives. Return to your hotel for your final night in Siem Reap. If you’d like to add in a daytime tour on your final full day in Cambodia, contact to us on 01273 923100 to talk through some ideas.
