We love the stunning setting of this lodge where you can drink in the scenery from the seclusion of your verandah or get involved with guided nature walks, kayaking on the lagoon, quad biking on trails, whale-watching trips (June-Dec) and much more. The Overberg mountains form a backdrop to your suite – one of only five suites in Lagoon Lodge, part of Mosaic Private Sanctuary. Waking up to the view, padding to the verandah and sitting with a coffee in hand whilst the wildlife awakens feels like perfection. A glorious way to soak up some of South Africa’s untouched scenery.

Each thatched suite is secluded among ancient milkwood trees on the edge of the Hermanus Lagoon. Stone and glass walls open onto private decks with gorgeous mountain views.  Each room has a king bed, a sitting area, writing desk, fireplace and ceiling fan. The bathrooms are fitted with a large romantic tub, copper sink and a private outdoor shower for an “African bush” experience.

Boardwalks under a canopy of trees lead to the lounge where drinks and meals are shared outdoors or by a fireplace. Breakfast is definitely designed to keep your energy up for the day – a great selection of food including freshly baked muffins, homemade jams, fresh fruit and a hot meal. A light lunch can be enjoyed at Lagoon Lodge or, our recommendation, take a picnic and choose your own setting. For sunset, grab a glass of fizz and head to the heated plunge pool with views over the lagoon to the mountains. The perfect way to unwind after a day of activity.

The chefs and bakers are extremely talented working closely with the gardener and local producers to design wonderful evening meals from home-grown organic vegetables and local seasonal ingredients. Sitting outside enjoying dinner with a fine South African wine after a day of fun activities is a true Sundowner Moment.

Lagoon Lodge is all inclusive which means all meals, all land and water activities located on Mosaic Private Sanctuary and house beverages including spirits, beer and wine are included.
