DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Antananarivo
Fly this morning from the UK to Antananarivo (via Paris). On arrival into the Madagascar capital this evening you will be met and transferred to Au Bois Vert to spend 1 night, a lovely rustic city retreat which is convenient for the airport but hidden away in its own nature estate. Day 2: Antananarivo to Anjozorobe
This morning you will be collected and transferred 2.5hrs north by 4×4 to the primary forests of Anjozorobe where you will spend 3 nights at Saha Forest Camp. Tucked into the forest hillside this remote eco lodge has 10 tented chalets with verandas overlooking the rainforest and offers a great selection of hikes.

Days 3 & 4: Anjozorobe Rainforest
Two full days to explore the rainforest and surrounding area of Anjozorobe, one of the richest regions in terms of biodiversity in Madagascar. The main activity is guided hikes into the rainforest in search of the incredible endemic flora and fauna, including 9 lemur species with the largest Indri Indri. Day 5: Anjozorobe to Antananarivo
Following a final hike and breakfast this morning you will drive back to the capital to spend 1 night in the heart of the city at the Pavillon de l’Emyrne.

Located in the heart of the old town, close to some nice restaurants this small owner run boutique hotel is a firm sundowner favourite – we particularly love the afternoon complimentary back massages!

Day 6: Antananarivo to the Eastern Coast
Returning to the airport this morning you will fly to the Eastern Coast, heading to the beautiful island of Ile St Marie where you will end your holiday with 6 nights relaxing at Masoandro Lodge.

A rustic eco-lodge on the west coast, the 18 cottages have great ocean views, it’s super relaxed, there is great snorkeling from the beach and the friendly team are on hand to help with lots of activities.

Days 7 to 11: Ile St Marie, Eastern Coast
Five full days to relax and enjoy the many activities and excursions on Ile St Marie. Masoandro offers snorkelling, village walks, mountain biking, sea kayaking, quad biking and boat excursions.

Day 12: Eastern Coast to the UK
After a last swim in the pool and breakfast you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight back to Antananarivo. On arrival a day room at Bois Vert will be available (if required) before you will connect with your International flight back to the UK (via Paris).

Day 13: Home
