Day 1: UK to Hanoi
Fly overnight from the UK to Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi
Welcome to Vietnam! A quick transfer from the airport will take you into the capital Hanoi where you will be spending your first 2 nights at the 5* Hotel de L’Opera Hanoi. Just 3 minute’s walk from Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter, its four-season swimming pool will be the perfect place to relax for the rest of the day. Though if you ready to start exploring then everything is right on your doorstep, take a walk around the Old Quarter and try and find yourself some local bargains.
Days 3: Hanoi
Enjoy the capital at leisure today, though make sure you’re hungry when evening comes as you will be met by our local food expert who will guide you through the extensive food stalls, local restaurants and vibrant markets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Sampling as you wander, you may find the best Banh Xeo (crispy pancake) or Bun Cha (fresh rice noodles with grilled pork) in Vietnam. Finish the evening the same way the local’s do with a cold Bia Hoi (beer) and watch the world go by on the ever-changing street scene of this vibrant capital.
Day 4: Hue
A quick flight this morning from Hanoi International Airport will take you down to the ancient Imperial Capital of Hue where you will spend 2 nights in the chic colonial grandeur of La Residence, on the banks of the Perfume River. Spend the day relaxing by the stunning pool area or treat yourself to one of the many amazing spa facilities. In the evening, why not visit the spectacular on site restaurant Le Parfum and enjoy your meal with a perfectly made Manhattan cocktail.
Day 5: Hue
Start to explore Hue this morning with a full day private guided tour giving a wonderful overview of the city’s culture and history. Begin with the fascinating UNESCO Imperial Citadel where you will roam the grounds and learn about its past, before carrying on by bike and discovering Tinh Tam Lake meaning ‘Peace of Mind’, filled with spectacular lotus flowers. You will then leave the city behind as you travel into the countryside to discover Khai Dinh’s tomb, One of the Nguyen Dynasty’s former emperors, before ending with a browse through the colourful Dong Ba Market.
Day 6: Hoi An
Today you will travel through Hai Van Pass, also known as the Pass of Ocean Clouds. Make a quick stop in Danang to visit the Cham Museum, before travelling down to the picturesque Hoi An where you will stay for 3 nights at the La Siesta Hoi An Resort. In a great location to explore the beautiful and charming Ancient Town, this hotel provides excellent service and a warm welcome to one of the most popular destination in Vietnam. If you want to head to the beach but still be close enough to explore Hoi An then why not stay at the outstanding private beachfront property of Fusion Maia in a private pool villa.
Day 7: Hoi An
A free day to explore this enchanting region of Vietnam. You could take a trip to one of the many skilled tailors in the town and have your dream outfit made or visit one of the local markets to see what bargains you can find. If it’s relaxing you fancy then take a trip to the stunning nearby Cua Dai beach, grab a cocktail and watch the world go by.
Day 8: Hoi An
This morning be prepared to explore as you enjoy a private half day bicycle tour of Hoi An’s stunning countryside. Cross over the river and pass by picturesque villages to observe life at a slower pace enjoying scenes of endless rice fields, coconut groves and crisscrossing waterways. Stop at wood carving workshops and boat building yards to see the remarkable innovation and skills of the Vietnamese people. After all that riding enjoy a well-deserved freshly prepared lunch with a local family before boarding a traditional wooden boat and cruising back into Hoi An.
Day 9: Nha Trang
After breakfast you will be transferred back to Danang International airport to catch your afternoon flight down to Nha Trang. From here you will be shuttled across the clear blue waters to the exclusive area of Ninh Van Bay with its gentle white sands, spectacular green tropical jungle and natural waterfalls in the nearby towering mountains. Spend the next 5 nights at the Am Lam Ninh Van Bay away from the bustling cities, this piece of paradise indulges you in the life of luxury from the minute you arrive with individually designed villas and suites, personal butlers and private verandas overlooking the outstanding ocean views.
Day 10,11,12,13: Nha Trang
You have the next 4 full days to really immerse yourself in the paradise around you. If you’re ready to explore then why not discover the beautiful natural waterfalls that surround the retreat, pack your water bottle and hike to the spectacular viewpoint overlooking Ninh Van Bay. If you want to cool off then why not take a boat trip to the many nearby bays and surrounding islands to snorkel in the clear waters of Hon Mun. You can also visit the nearby Monkey Island home to over 2000 monkeys, or take a tour around the city of Nha Trang itself. Though if all you want to do is relax then look no further than sitting on your own veranda with a perfectly made cocktail, overlooking the ocean as the sun begins to set – a perfect sundowner moment.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy one last breakfast in paradise before you are transferred back to the airport for a complete change of pace, but not of luxury, as you arrive in the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City where you will be transferred to the riverside elegance of An Lam Saigon River. Offering sweeping views of the Saigon River and set amongst stunning gardens, this is the perfect place to spend your last two nights in Vietnam. This evening you will soak up the atmosphere of the city with a private street food tour of the local night markets and music scene with one of our local friendly guides.
Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City
Make sure you fill up on breakfast this morning ready for a full private day tour exploring the city. Start your day with just over an hour transfer outside of the city, to the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels where you will learn about the fascinating history of Vietnam. Our knowledgeable local guide will give you a clear understanding of the not-so-distant history that surrounds this local area. See the measures the Vietnamese went to by travelling down the many tunnels (if you’re brave enough!). You will then be taken back into the city to be shown more monumental sites of stunning Ho Chi Minh City including the Opera house, City Hall and Grand former Palace.
Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City / UK
You will have plenty of time to visit some last-minute sights, do some shopping, visit the local market for one last time or just eat as much Vietnamese food as you possibly can. In the evening, we will take you to Ho Chi Minh International airport to fly back overnight to the UK.
