DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: UK to Vientiane 
Fly from the UK to Vientiane, with a connection in Bangkok. Let us know if you want to include a night or two exploring the Thai capital!

Day 2: Vientiane 
On arrival in to Vientiane airport, you will be transferred approx. 20 mins to spend 2 nights at the Green Park Boutique Hotel. Featuring classic Laos architecture, this hotel is in a fantastic location, with all the major tourist sites being within walking distance. You can spend the rest of the day resting by the pool, or head out and start exploring under your own steam. Welcome to Laos! 

Day 3: Vientiane 
Today you will be collected and taken to the quirky Buddha Park – featuring over 200 sculptures that depict various figures from Buddhist and Hindu traditions, this is a unique attraction right on the river Mekong. As well as wandering through the statues and tranquil surroundings, there are some sculptures you can climb and enjoy views of the river from the top! The rest of the day is free to spend as you wish – explore some more of the city, or head to Ban Anou night market this evening for some delicious street food. 

Day 4: Vientiane to Vang Vieng 
Today you will be driven approx. 1 1/2 hrs north to Vang Vieng, where you will spend the next 3 nights at the Riverside Boutique Resort. This award winning, luxury hotel is full of charm and its beautiful design blends local traditions with French colonial architecture. Settle in this afternoon – your room will have a balcony which is the perfect place to sit and relax after your journey! 

Day 5: Vang Vieng
Today you’ll explore the natural beauty of Laos, as you are collected for your countryside tour! Cross the Nam Song River and head into the countryside, travel through rice paddies and arrive at Tham Pou Kham cave. Wander around the cave, or enjoy a swim in the waterhole. Then, return to the river and board a longtail boat to enjoy a relaxing cruise with stunning scenery back to your hotel – marvel at limestone cliffs, vast green jungle, and local fishing boats as they pass you by.

Day 6: Vang Vieng 
Head out on the water today as you go on a kayak tour. Take in the stunning surroundings as you head down the river and take in the sounds of nature as you go – what a way to see the local area! After, you’ll head back to the hotel to relax, or head into town to check out the market stalls and pick up a souvenir or two. There are some activities in Vang Vieng to try – talk to us about extending your stay and seeing more of what the town has to offer!

Day 7: Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang 
This morning you will be collected and transferred approx. 10 mins to the train station to catch your train to Luang Prabang. On arrival into Luang Prabang train station, you will be met and transferred approx. 30 minutes to spend 3 nights at Maison Dalabua – a charming boutique property that is surrounded by three UNESCO classified lily ponds. Enjoy the rest of your day relaxing by the pool, or head out and explore this pretty town. 

Days 8 & 9: Luang Prabang 
You will have two days to enjoy a variety of experiences! Learn how to cook some traditional Lao dishes with a cooking class after you have gone shopping for the ingredients, as well as a visit to a local rice farm to see the process of planting and harvesting rice in the rice paddies, and even have a go at some activities! You will also go to the stunning Kuang Si waterfalls – journey through Luang Prabang’s beautiful countryside as you make your way to the Waterfalls. The stunning falls are a series of cascading turquoise pools – enjoy a swim or hike to the top of the highest drop. This is a beautiful spot and a real highlight of any Laos trip! A special picnic lunch will be prepared so you can enjoy local dishes with a spectacular view of the falls. 

Day 10: Luang Prabang to Koh Munnork
Today you will be transferred approx. 15 mins to Luang Prabang airport for your flight to Bangkok. On arrival in to Bangkok, you will be transferred approx. 3 hrs to Koh Munnork pier where you will then transfer to boat for the 45 minute journey over to Koh Munnork Private Island for 5 nights. Koh Munnork is a small, private island where you will find peace, rest, relaxation and where life is filtered to be in sync with nature. Spend the rest of the day settling in to paradise! Welcome to Thailand! 

Days 11-14: Koh Munnork 
You will have four full days to relax and unwind on the island. Grab a snorkel and explore the local coral reefs, or take a kayak out! Stretch out on the pristine sand for a spot of sunbathing and go for a walk along the beach as the sun sets. This is the perfect time to simply take a break and enjoy some time together! Other beach options include Phuket or Koh Samui – contact us about an alternative beach location. 

Day 15: Koh Munnork to the UK (via Bangkok)
Today you will take the boat transfer back to the pier, before your road transfer to Bangkok airport and for your onward flight to the UK.
