DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: UK to Cochin
Fly overnight from the UK to Cochin (via Dubai).
Day 2: Cochin
On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred in your private vehicle to Fort Cochin where you will spend 2 nights at Old Harbour Hotel, a small boutique hotel in the heart of Fort Cochin with beautiful rooms, lovely staff and inviting gardens & pool.
Days 3: Cochin
This morning you will be collected by your specialist Cochin guide for a private tour of Fort Cochin, including St Francis Church, the Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace and the Chinese fishing nets.
After a relaxing afternoon wandering the streets of Fort Cochin you will be taken to enjoy a traditional Kathakali Dance performance.
Day 4: Cochin to Plantation Country
Today you will drive into the plantation country to spend 2 nights at Serenity at Kanam Estate, a stylish 6 bedroom plantation residence, surrounded by spice gardens, it offers relaxation and a delicious taste of rural Kerala.
Day 5: Plantation Country (Kanam Estate)
Full day to enjoy Kanam Estate – activities include bullock cart excursions, cycling tours, escorted walks in the spice plantations and cooking classes.
Day 6: Plantation Country to the Backwaters
This morning you will head to the tranquil Keralan backwaters to board your private houseboat and after meeting your crew you will begin your romantic 1 night cruise. A wonderful way to explore the backwaters you can sit back on your private deck and soak up local life in Kerala.
Day 7: Backwaters
After enjoying sunrise and a relaxing breakfast you will head back to dry land to continue your backwaters adventure with 2 nights at Philip Kutty’s Farm, one of the most established and respected homestays in Kerala with a beautiful island setting.
Day 8: Backwaters
Spend your last day in rural Kerala enjoying the vast selection of activities – including cooking classes, escorted farm walks, sunset cruises, bird watching, fishing, bicycle tours, yoga and tuk-tuk excursions to the village temple. Day 9: Cochin to the Maldives
Bidding farewell to India you will transfer north to Cochin Airport to catch your short flight to the stunning islands of the Maldives.
On arrival you will be met and transferred by speedboat to the North Male Atoll to spend 7 nights on Makunudu Island, a rustic castaway island with only 36 Maldivian styled beach bungalow and a super laid back ambience. Honeymoon special offer. Contact us for more information.
Day 10 to 15: The Maldives
Six full days to relax and enjoy! Makunudu is a fantastic island for snorkelling and diving with its house reef and nearby dive sites. Guests can also enjoy windsurfing, water-skiing, night fishing by traditional dhoni, sunset cruises and romantic lunches on a secluded sandbank!
Day 16: Maldives to UK
This morning you will be transferred by speedboat back to Male Airport for your flight back to the UK (via Dubai).

Our tour of Kerala was perfect in every way, we decided to go with a private driver who stayed with us for the whole trip – we found this a more relaxed way to travel.
