DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Nairobi
Fly overnight from the UK to Nairobi (via Doha).

Day 2: Nairobi National Park
On arrival you will be met and transferred to Nairobi National Park to spend 1 night in 2 stable rooms at Ololo Safari Lodge, a traditional farmhouse well removed from the city offering great hospitality and the perfect surroundings to relax after your flight – a great start to any Kenya safari!

Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 3: Nairobi NP to Laikipia
This morning you will be collected and transferred to Wilson Domestic Airport to board your light aircraft flight to Nanyuki. The gateway to the Laikipia Plateau you will head 1 hour into this beautiful region to spend 3 nights in a family cottage at El Karama Lodge, an award winning eco lodge with a cosy home from home atmosphere, stunning location and excellent hospitality.

Day 4 & 5: Laikipia Plateau
Two full days of safari in Laikipia – packed with wildlife the activities at El Karama include 4×4 game drives, night drives, walking safaris, birding safaris & ranch excursions.

With an ethos to remove the distractions of modern technology and bring children (and adults) back to nature, El Karama has a great programme for children including how to collect and make sculptures with termite clay, how to track and make tracks using plaster casts, how to fish with hand lines and much more.

Day 6: Laikipia to Maasai Mara
Following an early activity and breakfast you will be transferred back to Nanyuki to catch your light aircraft direct to the Maasai Mara where you will continue your safari with 2 nights in the family tented suite at Kandili Camp, an owner run gem only a short distance from the famous Leopard Gorge, Kandili offers an authentic personalised safari with a team of excellent Maasai guides.

Day 7: Maasai Mara

Days 8: Maasai Mara to Zanzibar (via Nairobi)
Following a final morning game drive and breakfast in the bush you will transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Nairobi. After some lunch in the capital you will head to the International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar, heading to the southeast coast to end your adventure with 6 nights in a 3 bedroom family villa at Unguja Lodge.

Day 9 to 13: Zanzibar southwest Coast
Five full days to relax, enjoy the Indian Ocean and explore the island. Unguja is a pretty laid back spot with a lovely beach and pool but the team are on hand if you want to arrange some snorkeling or diving excursions.

Days 14: Zanzibar to UK (via Doha)
After a final relaxing morning on the beach you will transfer back to Zanzibar Airport for your International flight back to the UK (via Doha).

Day 15: Home
