Located in the remote south-east corner of the Maasai Mara, 30 minutes from Keekerok airstrip, Enkewa Mara Camp is in the heart of one of the least explored regions of the Mara. The result of its beautiful, remote location means the chances of running into lots of other vehicles is slim but the wildlife encounters in this region remain incredible with numerous lion prides close to camp and some of the highest density of leopard and black rhino in the park.

Exclusively run on solar energy, the camp itself is small and beautiful with 5 spacious en-suite safari tents, a mess tent, spa tent and a chic tented lounge with a lovely selection of books on the Mara and its wildlife. The tents are all positioned to offer views of the savanna from your bed, have relaxing veranda areas and the bathrooms have flushing loos and running hot water showers. You will also find relaxing areas around camp with day beds & hammocks and of course the nightly campfire is not to be missed!

Jose and his first class team of local Maasai offer fantastic game drives in custom built 4×4 safari vehicles with both a guide and expert tracker accompanying you on morning, afternoon and full-day safaris into big 5 country – expect some special bush meals and the essential Sundowner to round off a unforgettable safari experience.

For an authentic Maasai experience Jose can also arrange for you to visit the local community where the camp is actively involved in a number of projects to support the local Maasai.
