DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Maun
Fly overnight from the UK to Maun (via Johannesburg).

Day 2: Maun to the Okavango Delta
On arrival into Maun, the safari capital of Botswana, you will transfer by light aircraft into the heart of the mighty Okavango Delta to start your safari with 2 nights at Pelo Camp.

We love our traditional bush camps at Sundowner and this authentic 5 tented camp, run by Wilderness Safaris, has a prime location for enjoying the water channels of the Delta.

Day 3: Okavango Delta
With permanent water Pelo Camp is all about the guided mokoro excursions (traditional dugout canoes) through the Okavango Delta and makes for a perfect introduction to this beautiful wetland paradise. Day 4: Okavango Delta to the Khwai Concession
After a final morning mokoro and breakfast you will hop by light aircraft to the Khwai concession to continue your safari with 3 nights at the wonderful 1950s style Machaba Camp.

Remaining under canvas but staying in the huge beautiful tents of Machaba this is one of our favourite camps in Botswana with great guides and a secluded location bordering the Moremi Game Reserve.

Days 5 & 6: Khwai Concession
Two full days of game viewing in the incredible Khwai concession and Moremi Game Reserve. After your water experience at Pelo the activities at Machaba are all land based as you search out the big game on morning & evening game drives and safari walks.

Day 7: Khwai Concession to Johannesburg
Following a final morning game drive and breakfast you will fly by light aircraft back to Maun and connect with your regional flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the African Rock Hotel to spend 1 night, a conveniently located small boutique hotel with great suites and great food.

Day 8: Johannesburg to Nampula, Northern Mozambique
Returning to the airport this morning you will fly to Nampula in northern Mozambique, where you will be met and transferred to Coral 15:41 Lodge to spend 6 nights in one of the most romantic beach retreats in Mozambique.

Days 9 to 13: Northern Mozambique Coast
