Day 1: UK to Colombo
Fly overnight from the UK to Colombo.
Day 2: Negombo
On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred in your private vehicle a short distance towards Negombo where you will spend 1 night at the Wallawwa, a stunning boutique retreat which is a fantastic start to any Sri Lanka holiday with its beautiful grounds, relaxed atmosphere, lovely little spa and excellent Asian-fusion cuisine.
Days 3: Negombo to Cultural Triangle
Today your adventure really starts as you head into the Cultural Triangle region of the country to explore the incredible Dambulla Cave Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest temple cave complex in Sri Lanka. You will then head to stay for 2 nights at Roo Mansala, a unique hotel in the heart of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle that offers mesmerising views of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and fantastic hospitality, all in an eco-friendly setting. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool this afternoon!
Day 4: Cultural Triangle
This morning you will be collected by your guide and driven to the iconic Rock Fortress of Sigiriya where you will enjoy a guided tour of this fascinating UNESCO complex and a hike to the top to enjoy the stunning scenery.

Day 5: Cultural Triangle to Kandy
This morning you will be driven south to the scenic city of Kandy, heading to the UNESCO Temple of the Tooth and Royal Palace where you will enjoy a guided tour and walk by Kandy Lake. You will then head to Villa Rosa, where you will spend the next 2 nights. With stunning views of the Mahaweli River, you can also expect to enjoy tucking into some delicious Sri Lankan cuisine! Settle in this afternoon with a dip in the infinity pool as you soak up the stunning views.
Day 6: Kandy
This morning your guide will collect you for a tour of Kandy Royal Botanical Gardens. You will then return to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon or you can explore Kandy under your steam and simply get a tuk-tuk back to the house.
Day 7: Kandy to Galle
A longer drive today you will see you heading to the southwest of the island where you will spend a relaxing 3 nights at Niyagama House, a friendly owner run plantation retreat on a working tea estate with wonderful views, beautiful surroundings and a complete focus on relaxation.
Day 8 & 9: Galle
Two full days to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Elke the owner will ensure you have a great stay and activities on the estate include cooking classes, tea picking & tasting, nature walks, guided bike tours and tours to Galle Fort only 25 minutes away. Elke, a trained yoga teacher, also offers a number of yoga and meditation courses.
Days 10: Galle to Bentota Beach
This morning you be transferred north to Bentota Beach to end with 2 nights at Rock Villa, a 170 year old heritage house which has been transferred by its owner, the famous Sri Lankan designer Taru, into a stylish beach retreat with beautiful gardens, lots of hammocks and only 60 metres from the beach. Day 11: Bentota Beach
A final day to relax. Bentota beach offer lots of water-sports if you are feeling active but for this final day you may want to relax by the pool with a good book.
Day 12: Colombo to UK
Following a final breakfast in the fort you will be transferred north to Colombo Airport for your flight back to the UK.
Welcome Home (it may take a while to get back into the routine!)
