Located just 25kms upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls, Chundukwa River Lodge offers accommodation in 5 rustic thatched chalets built on stilts with uninterrupted views of the Zambezi River. All the chalets have open fronts facing the river so guests can really appreciate the beautiful surroundings and with the décor & furniture all made by Doug and Gail from recycled wood, metal and sustainable reeds, there is an lovely earthy décor to the chalets.

A fantastic option for groups and families, the lodge also has Chundu Cottage which is self-contained with 3 bedrooms, an open plan lounge & kitchen and a lovely verandah with a deck and plunge pool. The cottage also comes with a housekeeper, waiter and private cook to prepare all your meals!

Often at the start or end of a safari, an excursion to the falls is an absolute must and the Chundukwa team are on hand to arrange excursions and transfers into Livingstone and Victoria Falls. Back at the lodge, when not relaxing with a good book by the river or cooling off in the pool, there is over 300 acres of bush to explore on guided walks and the birding is fantastic, the sunrise and sunset cruises on the Zambezi are not to be missed and Doug also offers fantastic horse-riding trails ranging from 2hr champagne breakfast rides by the river to multi-day bespoke trails along the Zambezi!
