Her suggestions were amazing, our expectations were pretty high to begin with, but were massively exceeded in each place without exception. Each transfer went off without a hitch, and she'd primed each hotel that it was an anniversary celebration and we were greeted with champagne at every one of them, one of them even made us a cake!

The selection of accommodation was exactly what we would have chosen from colonial Elephant house to coastal Lavender Manor. The fab boutique hotel in Cape Town was a great location for New Year celebrations and the trip to Franschoek and the winelands fabulous, not just the wine hic hic but the journey there and the spectacular scenery on the drive over.

From the minute we checked in at the Emirates desk to the minute we landed back in the UK, everything was perfect. Our accommodation was WOW, our transfer drivers and trips were WOW. I don't want to share where we stayed because they were so special and if we want to go back, I don't want to find them unavailable!!!

We can honestly say it was the best holiday we have ever had. The small boutique guest houses were all amazing and certainly gave us a real flavour of the country. We drove to Cape Town where our lovely hotel was a perfect base to explore this beautiful place and beaches along with all the sights.

Our tour of Kerala was perfect in every way, we decided to go with a private driver who stayed with us for the whole trip - we found this a more relaxed way to travel. We were so impressed with Periplus, efficient in every way, our driver, Sunil, was very polite, always on time and in many ways added to our holiday.

The trip itself was very well organised and ran incredibly smoothly, something which is not always achievable in East Africa! The partners they work with in Tanzania are of top quality: the guides, accommodation, connections, transport and itinerary were really well thought through and of good quality.

We had 12 nights in Sri Lanka which we organised through Sundowner - it was excellent! Sundowner added real value with their recommendations on the travel and in particular their recommended accommodation. We were nervous about having our own local driver but in fact he was very good and it suited us as independent travellers who like to set our own agenda.

Our trips all worked incredibly well - we were the first up Sigiriya in the morning - thus avoiding the heat, something you had recommended. We had a great train journey, saw a bear, leopard and about 20 elephants on the safari (definitely needed a whole day) in addition to visiting a large numbers of stupas, temples, a herbal centre, tea plantation, botanical garden etc.

The boutique Guest Houses Sundowners chose were exceptional - fabulous settings, quality and service. The whole trip was excellently planned and organised, no hitches at all.

The camps we stayed in were extremely well run and comfortable, and the guides were excellent. They made sure we also got to see many of the rest of the wildlife of the region - everything from amazing numbers of Impala, Giraffe, Elephant, Zebra, lions, Cheetah and Leopard, and even Wild Dog that we had hoped to see but doubted we would be so lucky!
Tanzania
We travelled in India for 21 days and every guest house we were booked in was excellent. The cars which picked us up were nice and clean and drivers and guides were good. The Indian counter parts Periplus could not do enough and at every stage we were met with their representative who made double sure that all our needs were met. Highly satisfied.

The tour we did was Vietnam and Cambodia and we had excellent guides who made the trip very memorable. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

My friend and I have returned from a wonderful trip to Vietnam and Cambodia organised by Liam. The team on the ground, in both countries, were excellent- tour guides, drivers, hotel staff. All in all, a wonderful experience which we would both highly recommended.

FANTASTIC! It was the most incredible experience. We loved the variety that you had planned for us, from the rainforest in Andasibe to Isalo which was stunning (the hotel was really special). Ifaty was also a really interesting place but the piece de resistance was definitely Anjajavy. We thought we had died and gone to heaven! The honeymoon package was wonderful but the best part was Cedric and his passion for the environment. Another aspect which we were thrilled by was the quality of the guides. A special thanks for the guide in Isalo and Ifaty - I think he was called Sedeer. He was so knowledgeable and good company.
Madagascar
I have just returned from a holiday in Madagascar. We both had an amazing and enjoyable time. We were very impressed with our driver/guide. He was helpful, full of interesting information, answered all our questions (and there were a lot!) with good humour and excellent English. Always flexible and willing to cope with special requests (especially for my photo stops) and even taught us some Malagasy. At Andasibe National Park we had a top class wildlife guide who was very knowledgeable and his ability to spot wildlife in the forest was uncanny. He even managed to spot a Leaf-Tailed Gecko (a master of camouflage in the wild) which was amazing.

What happens next
Once we receive your completed form, we’ll work out who has the best experience to design your holiday. This will be your Sundowner Specialist. They will look through the details you’ve provided and will aim to be in touch within 24 hours. In most instances, we like to just chat through what you’re looking for before we pull together a personalised quote.
Your personalised quote will include information on flights, hotels, tours, experiences, transfers as well as why we think this particular design works for you. It’s all wrapped up with some great ideas and some more about why Sundowner Holidays are so highly rated. We will send this by email but we also like to put it in the post. We’ll aim to call you a day after you’ve received this so that we can talk through the quote, hear your feedback and, if you’re ready, book your holiday for you.
All you need to confirm your holiday is a 15% deposit. Check out our terms and conditions too. We’ll keep you updated before you go away with a few emails and, of course, we’re here to talk through any questions you may have at any time.
Your final balance is due 2 months before you travel. And 2 weeks before travel look out for your travel pack full of information and designed to get you itching to leave.
When you get back, we’d love to hear how it all went, get a sneaky peak at some photos and maybe a video or two! And of course, it’s well known that the best way to face coming back from a wonderful hoiday, is to start planning the next one.
