DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: London to Lusaka
Fly overnight from the UK to Lusaka (via Addis Abba).

Day 2: Lusaka to South Luangwa
On arrival you will be met and assisted onto your flight to Mfuwe, the gateway to the South Luangwa National Park. On arrival you will be met and transferred to one of our favourite camps in Zambia, Flatdogs Camp, to spend your first 3 nights on safari. Owner managed by Jess, the camp is very relaxing, the staff extremely friendly and it offers incredible game viewing in the central Mfuwe region of the park. By the way flatdogs are crocodiles!

Days 3 & 4: South Luangwa
Two full days of safari in the one of the best game viewing regions in Southern Africa. At Flatdogs the activities include game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, walking safaris and night drives. When back in camp you have a lovely swimming pool for cooling off, you can relax with a good book by the river and working closely with the local community you can arrange an informal visit to the local village. Want to know more about a day on safari? Day 5: South Luangwa to Victoria Falls
Following a morning drive and breakfast you will be transferred back to Mfuwe airport for your flight across the country to Livingstone, the Zambian side of the mighty Victoria Falls, where you will spend a further 3 nights at Taita Falcon Lodge. Owner run by Faan and Annmarie this small friendly bush lodge has a unique location, offering incredible views of the Bakota Gorge and swirling Zambezi River below.

Day 6 & 7: Victoria Falls
Two full days to enjoy Victoria Falls. Your stay at Taita Falcon will include a bush walk, sunset cruise on the Upper Zambezi and a tour of the Falls. For those adrenaline junkies we can also arrange gorge swings, bungee jumps, white-water rafting and helicopter fights over the Falls.

Day 8: Victoria Falls to the Lower Zambezi
After a final breakfast overlooking the gorge you will transfer back to the airport for your flight travelling east along the Zambezi River to the Lower Zambezi National Park where you will spend your final 3 nights on safari at Kanyemba Lodge. Another owner-run gem, Riccardo is a highly qualified canoe and walking guide who is heavily involved in the conservation of the park and delivers an outstanding safari experience.

Days 9 & 10: Lower Zambezi
Two full days to enjoy one of our favourite parks in Africa! With lots of cats, big elephant herds and hippos you can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, boat safaris, canoe safaris and even a spot of a fishing. With the beautiful escarpment to the north and Zambezi River to the south this is a perfect spot for one of those African “Sundowner Moments”. Day 11: Lusaka to London
Following a morning activity and breakfast you will be transferred by road 3 hours north to Lusaka Airport to connect with your flight back to the UK (via Addis Abba).

Day 12: London
Welcome Home (with endless adventures in Africa you can always go again!)
