DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: UK to Bajos del Toro
Fly overnight from the UK to San Jose.
On arrival into San Jose you’ll be privately transferred approx. 1.5 hours to Bajos del Toro cloud forest where you will stay for 2 nights in one of the most romantic eco lodges in this area – El Silencio. Floating in the clouds and surrounded by endless dense green rainforest, this lodge is all about privacy & luxury. Enjoy your private jacuzzi and a sundowner to celebrate the start of your honeymoon!

Day 2: Bajos del Toro
Enjoy a complimentary hike this morning with a local nature guide. Walk through the hummingbird garden and hidden paths & trails while looking out for the local residents such as monkeys, sloths, frogs and many others. Binoculars and cameras at the ready! Later this afternoon you’ll start a guided tour along the private paths of the cloud forest to find the impressive local waterfalls – fancy a dip?

Day 3: Bajos del Toro to Arenal
This morning you’ll be collected for your shared transfer to Arenal, famous for its majestic volcano, hot thermal rivers that are almost on a tap, expansive mirror-like lake and much more. You will spend 2 nights at Arenal Observatory Lodge where nature is bursting at the seams thanks to the primary and secondary rainforest right on your doorstep. Enjoy the rest of the day soaking up the incredible scenic views from the lodge. The sunset view above the lake is one not to be missed! Day 4: Arenal
Today is packed with experiences and fun! You will set off to explore the local area & join a full day tour. You’ll start with crossing the hanging bridges that run across the dense forest and show off the natural beauty, look out for sloths! Later, you’ll visit La Fortuna waterfalls followed by a hike in the rainforest that leads to the lava view point. Day 5: Arenal to Tamarindo
This morning you’ll be transferred to the Pacific Coast where you’ll start the beach part of your honeymoon. You’ll spend 3 nights at the beautiful eco-friendly, owner-run  Hotel Capitan Suizo. Located on one of the most enchanting beaches in Costa Rica, you are in the perfect location to unwind. Bliss!

Day 6: Tamarindo
Today you’ll go for a half day kayaking and snorkelling tour. After all, they say: If you can kayak together, you’ll stay together! Enjoy your morning kayaking on the smooth blue waters of Tamarindo beach and once you reach Capitan Island you can enjoy snorkelling around the coral reefs that buzz with colours and plenty of exotic fish. The rest of your day is at leisure.

Day 7: Tamarindo
Full day at leisure to soak up the sun & hit the beach or explore the beautiful surroundings under your own steam. Your hotel offers some great activities to keep you entertained such as surfing, paddle boarding, couples massage, nature and marine tours and much more. Day 8: Tamarindo to Jaco
This morning you’ll be transferred to the vibrant area of Jaco where you’ll spend 4 nights at the luxury Villa Caletas. Inspired by French colonial architecture & Victorian style, this boutique hotel sits in the foothills and overlooks the mesmerising beaches of Jaco, Herradura and Punta Leona. This location is considered one of the best beaches in Costa Rica for watching the sunset – a true sundowner moment! Want to end in just one beach spot rather than two? Days 09 to 11: Jaco, Nicoya
Three full days at your leisure. Head over and stroll through the streets of the small charming town of Jaco. Alternatively, you can keep busy with plenty of activities on offer, from whale watching trips (during the season), crocodile safari tours, private boat trips to Tortuga Island, visiting the Manuel Antonio NP and much more. Day 12: Jaco to San Jose
Today you’ll wave goodbye to Jaco and be transferred to the capital, San Jose where you’ll will check in for your flight back to the UK.
