Just got back from the most amazing trip. Got chased by a group of hippos, had breakfast with baboon, impala and elephants and saw a large group of giraffe crossing crocodile infested water. The game drives where amazing as were the lodges. Unguja Beach lodge was just heaven. 12 steps from our own golden beach. Dinner every night was outstanding as were all the staff throughout our stay.

Our holiday was truly amazing. The itinerary was superb. Lake Manze was an experience that we’ll never forget. Having elephants eating their lunch feet from where we sat our veranda was an unbelievable sight. On our final night at Manze lions were prowling around the tents which was pretty frightening but awesome. Unguja was off the scale – Ralph and particular Elies were superb hosts and the location activities and accommodation were second to none. The trip of a lifetime and a fitting way to mark 25 years of marriage!

The trip itself was very well organised and ran incredibly smoothly, something which is not always achievable in East Africa! The partners they work with in Tanzania are of top quality: the guides, accommodation, connections, transport and itinerary were really well thought through and of good quality.

We had an amazing time.  Everything was brilliant (even the baboon leaving a gift on the bed in the Serengeti!). I think Nick’s highlight was the lion cubs.  I loved all the safari, but seeing the turtles hatch in Pangani was truly awesome. All the accommodation was exactly what we had hoped for.  I hadn’t realised we would have a tent on our first night as well.

The whole trip has been a fantastic experience and everyone had a terrific time.  The recommendations and arrangements were faultless. All the camps were excellent. The favourite was the camp in the Serengeti, it was the most basic but had the best atmosphere and was really among the wildlife, we had loins and leopards round the tents during the night!!!! The wildlife was more than we expected, we saw absolutely everything and more.  Score out of ten for the whole trip……12 A++++++!!!! We both think it was magic!!!

The organisation and services was perfect especially at Impala Selous Camp which we loved. In particular the friendliness of the staff and the competency of our guides. The mix of jeep, boat and walking was an excellent way to mix up safari and see more of the fauna and flora. And what about taking a breakfast in the bush, incredible!!!

The camps we stayed in were extremely well run and comfortable, and the guides were excellent. They made sure we also got to see many of the rest of the wildlife of the region – everything from amazing numbers of Impala, Giraffe, Elephant, Zebra, lions, Cheetah and Leopard, and even Wild Dog that we had hoped to see but doubted we would be so lucky!

We enjoyed the trip immensely!  We found all the arrangements faultless and the food & locations on all occasions, was exceptional as promised. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the safari, it was quite beyond our expectations;  both exciting, informative and personal. It was definitely a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience. The holiday flew by and we have come home both rested and fulfilled. Thank you for your kind & helpdul advice.

Selous Riverside was great with Clive and Raine being great hosts – I even organised a football match with the local school children and some lodge staff photos to follow! We had our own special meal with camp fire outside our lodge!

Climbed Kili- toughest but most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. All lodges/ camps and hotels in Tanzania and Uganda were spot-on. Gorrila trekking in Brindi was out of this world. Thank you for recommending the chimpanzee trekking – a great experience.
